Job Responsibilities:

The Millwright is responsible for installing, assembling, and when necessary, dismantle machinery, conveyor system, pulleys, mechanical clutches, gear boxes, pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems.  The Millwright will transport and locate machines and equipment to the desired location according to floor plans or as directed using fork lifts, hoists, winches, cranes and other equipment.  Assemble machines or equipment from their component parts.  The Millwright must understand how the machine functions to assemble and disassemble it properly.  This may involve knowledge of electronics, pneumatics, and computer systems.  The Millwright will use complex instruction books that detail the assembly of the machinery and use tools such as dial indicator, laser alignment, levels, welding machines, and torque wrenches.  The Millwright will also use micrometers and other precision measuring devices to achieve the extreme tolerances required.  On larger projects, the use of cranes is common.  Work required practical skill and knowledge and journey-level skill as a Millwright.  Candidate must be able to perform incidental tasks as required to compete the larger task.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of Millwright experience with documentation

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License

  • Fully Tooled for scope of work

  • Have a high degree of welding and cutting ability

  • Be familiar with blueprints

  • Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as the ability to complete a company specific safety orientation

  • High standard of integrity and professionalism

  • Drug free at all times

  • NCCER certification is a plus

  • Licensing or additional certification may be required depending on project location.

  • Moving from one site to another within the state is expected when needed.
