Position Summary

The Plumbing Foreman – manages a single craft from beginning to end, while working with other skilled craftsman.

Position Responsibilities- Essential


• Supervise the activities of the craft personnel
• Manage and supervise craft workers; plan and organize workloads and staff assignments; train and motivate assigned staff
• Provide leadership and direction in the development of short and long range plans
• Provide advice to supervisors; communicate official plans, policies and procedures to staff in assigned area of responsibility
• Assure that assigned areas of responsibility are performed within budget; assure effective and efficient use of personnel, materials, facilities, and time
• Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite work flow; study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of assigned work and Administrative operation
• Issue written and oral instructions; assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures
• Perform or assist coworkers in performing duties; address errors and complaints
• Lay out daily work schedules and assign tasks to appropriate individuals and coordinate the completion of the same
• Provide necessary supervision, direction, and assistance to craft team
• Ensure adherence to policies, regulations and safety and health standards
• Prepare and maintain daily reports and records, as assigned

Position Responsibilities- Non-Essential/Other


• Requisition equipment, parts, and supplies used for craft work
• Provide emergency assistance as needed and appropriate
• Work on all shifts as needed
• Perform other projects and duties as assigned


Essential Skills and Experience


• Specialized training in craft
• Four (4) years of experience as a Foreman
• Able to work in various environmental exposures such as cold, wet, heat, light, dust, gases, fumes, loud noises, and work with chemicals
• Able to work around moving equipment and confined spaces
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation(s)
• Able to work and Run various pieces of construction equipment including but not limited to light to heavy machinery
• Knowledge of local craft codes and regulations
• Master / Journeyman Plumber


Beneficial Skills and Experience


• Greater than 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Blue Print reading
• Interpretation of project specific specifications
• Ability to use trade specific equipment (Transit, Grade Levels)
